When is minimax 2.7 coming? Its been announced a while ago and there are still no weights...

Also is the parameter size the same as 2.5?

MiniMax org

M2.7's parameter size the same as 2.5.
We will opensource in 2 weeks.

Looking forward to this!

please don't let this become the "in 2 weeks" meme where 2 weeks is never 2 weeks....

Two weeks have passed. Any updates on the model release?

@Ceaserk02 I'm pretty sure Gemma-4-31b outperforms most MoE models under 300b params. Just use that tbh 💀

@rombodawg I don't think so, even M2.5 is so better than Gemma4 31b, the M2.7 is much better than M2.5

Pack it up, guys. We’ve been bamboozled.

I don't understand why you all are lying. The comment "We will opensource in 2 weeks." is very clearly shown as having been made "13 days ago". Do you really not know how long a week is? Maybe ask an AI..

@johnsmithxx to be fair. They may have planned to and been delayed

Why are you talking about delaying when "in 2 weeks" hasn't happened yet? This is like in a mental institution..

Jesus bro chill out lol

Pay attention in school, kiddo.

Sorry to all OOS developers. I underestimated the workload required for open-sourcing. We still have some infrastructure adaptation work in progress. M2.7 is expected to be released this weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

@yuanhe134 Please ignore the negative comments. I want to thank you for sharing with all of us your models (and your work) for free.
Really appreciate! Thank you!
Btw, I became a client of your "Token Plan" because really like Minimax M models and that's my way to support you!

A beggar making demands. Go sign up for the API plan and support them if you need it so urgently.

@darkstar3537 Why do AI bros have so many anger issues 😭😭🤣🤣

@yuanhe134 thank you for your continued commitment to making this happen. All of MiniMax' open source efforts are appreciated.

Goat🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Can't wait!

@yuanhe134 Your response shows that you will release it on Friday or Saturday.
I'm dying to use it on device. Using the M2.5 model for a month now has made 80% of my work easier. I've even considered the m2.5 as my assistant, and now the M2.7 is coming.

Thanks for that commitment and timeline transparency.

Once you've got the release behind you, I'd be interested in reading a deep dive into the work it takes to prep for release. As a lay person my intuition was that once you launch the hosted version everything's basically done. That's obviously wrong, and I'd enjoy learning why ❤️

Any updates? Can we help?

The best help is supporting them financially

He said this week-end. It doesn't serve any purpose to push until Monday.

Thank you for your hard work, looking forward to exploring this model when it is ready. Releases slip sometimes, and that's fine. Pay no heed to the negative comments here, please.

Thank you for your hard work

Huge thanks to the MiniMax team for releasing this. ❤️
This is honestly one of the most impressive open-weight models on the market right now. The quality, capabilities, and overall performance are on another level.
What makes this even more impactful is that you chose to share it with the world. That takes real confidence and vision.
In my opinion, you are setting the standard for what the AI industry should look like - pushing boundaries while still giving the community access.
Respect. 👍👍

Thank you for the hard work, let us know if we can do anything to help. Open Source means you can harness crowdsourcing as well ;)

Can't wait to try m2.7 !

Minimax3.0 !Minimax3.0 !Minimax3.0 !

Hyped for the release 😀 Thanks MiniMax for supporting the OpenWeight community! I often also use these models via API from you in the Cloud when i want more speed.

Fingers crossed its released tomorrow. They said this weekend.

We are waiting! Love <3 this product!

Since people are actively commenting and are anticipating the release this weekend I'm going to re-open this discussion

"This weekend" is here. Still no weights.

This isn't a resource issue. MiniMax (HKG: 0100) has a market cap of 313 billion HKD, publicly listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The model has been serving API traffic on OpenRouter for weeks and have served 1.21T tokens in the past 7 days https://openrouter.ai/models?order=top-weekly <------ was #4 on OpenRouter at time of posting — the weights exist, the model is stable enough to serve via their API, there should be no technical reason this release couldn't happen today or tomorrow.

The timeline:

March 22: Skyler Miao posts "M2.7 open weights coming in ~2 weeks" (source) https://x.com/SkylerMiao7/status/2035713902714171583?s=20

April 11: nothing

This pattern feels like you are stringing the open source community along while monetizing API traffic, which is fine its your model but if that's why be honest about it please. If there's a business reason for the delay, say so. Don't manufacture technical excuses for what is clearly a strategic decision.
I cancelled my Token Plan subscription today. If MiniMax wants to keep the weights closed source, that's their right — but be honest about it instead of making commitments you don't keep.

People need to be patient my goodness, maybe step away from the computer for a few days and go on a hike and it might be available when you get back.

Then I'm a friendly bot. Just because they are a "multi-billion dollar company" doesn't mean they are run by robots... What are you gonna do with this model that's so important that you have to cry about it to your internet friends?

No he's 100% right. If they release the weights at 11:59pm Sunday night, that's still this weekend. Ya'll chill tf out
